1969年，來自澳洲的John Rendall 和Anthony Bourke兩人在英國合力收養了一隻小獅子（Christian），後來獅子長大了，野放回非洲。1974年，兩人想去看牠，但當時一起去的同伴George Adamson警告他們，認為Christian應該恢復野性，會有危險。但兩邊碰面的那一刻，卻是很感人的畫面。
